On Saturday we took our first trip with Tyler to a baseball game. This season is the first season of the AAA Braves team being in our backyard. We took Grandpa Easoz to the game as a late Father’s Day gift. Grandma and Aunt Amanda tagged along. We had a good time. It was VERY HOT! and I don’t know how much of the game Tyler watched but we went anyways. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Tyler stated a Mommy’s Day Out program at a local church on August 13th. He is a Purple Grape
Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Tyler will now be exposed to structured learning for the first time with someone other than Mom and Dad or Grandma/Grandpa and make some new friends. A few of the things that they do in the class are artwork, circle time, learning their shapes and colors, playground time, and music time. I know that this will be good for Tyler and for Mom.

What a fun summer this has been for Tyler. He has been able to experience so many new things. Tyler’s new abilities keep coming! Next week Tyler starts a 2 day a week Mother’s Day Out program at a local church. I think he will do very well there and his abilities will continue to expand along with making some new friends.
With that here are some pictures from the summer:
Tyler enjoys Grandma and Grandpa’s kiddie pool they set up for him in the backyard for his weekly visits.
Tyler has figured out that chasing bubbles can be fun!
LOVES the wagon rides! He likes pulling it around the yard too.
Tyler is definitely buddies with Toby. He has conversations with him
Tyler pulled out the broom and dust pan ALL BY HIMSELF! I am glad he is into cleaning
See he has really enjoyed his summer!
Tyler has been given the duty of putting Toby in his crate when we leave the house for a bit. He thought he would check out Toby’s quarters for himself.
Enjoying the Waller’s boat and Jackson Lake.
Playing in the fountain at Town Center Park
Flying in the front seat next to Dad!

Tyler is 1 1/2 years old. How time goes by so quickly. However, what a blessing it is to have a healthy growing little boy in the family. We went to the doctor today for his checkup. He had to get three vaccination boosters- tetanus, polio and Hepatitis A. He has had all of these before and is finished with them until he is at least 4 years old. Now the for the growth over the past six months:
Weight: 28lbs (77%)
Height: 34in (93%)
Head circumference: 19 (64%)
To celebrate this milestone we went to Zoo Atlanta on Saturday. This was Tyler’s first visit to the zoo. I would say that he enjoyed seeing all the animals in person that we have read about so many times in his books. Here are a few pictures from our visit to the zoo.
The Gorilla habitat. I must say this is such a big improvement from Willie B’s habitat last time I was at the zoo.
The Baby Panda!

What a great day this was!

We spent Easter this year with the Easoz side of the family. After church this morning we headed over to Tyler’s grandparents house for a little Easter egg hunt and traditional Ham, scalloped potatos, and green bean dinner. We had a great time with everyone. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Anna was wondering why Tyler loved to run away from her.
Thanks Grandma for the Easter festivities and goodies!
Now it was time to run around an play before dinner and a GREAT nap!

Spring returned for a few days and Tyler and I took advantage of the nice weather. We met some friends for lunch and then some play time at the neighborhood play-area. Here are some pictures of Tyler and Hannah playing together and soaking up the sun.

Tomorrow Tyler will be 15 months old. Hard to imagine that, but he’s growing fast and is in great health. Only real concern so far has been a couple of colds and a case of Roseola.
Here are a couple of pictures of Tyler.

Yes! We the Painter Family have made it one entire year as a family of three. What a great year it has been. Living and growing as a family with a little boy has been awesome. This year has been better then we could have ever imagined. The past few weeks we have reflected on one year ago and discovered that it is true how quickly you forget all the little details of that Birth Day, and while we are at it those first few months :-).
As a family with a little one you are always adjusting and readjusting your schedule and the means of how things get accomplished. Therefore, relaxing times are spent differently now- and the meaning of relaxation definitely is different.
Oh how our little Tyler has changed. . .
November 16, 2007: 9lbs 12oz and 21in in length
November 17, 2008: 23lbs 15oz and 31.5in in length
Tyler stays in the 91% for height (obviously he doesn’t get this from him Mom) and is in the 66% in weight. He is strong and healthy.
Here are some milestone from the past year:
Tyler started to sit up unsupported at 4 1/2 months
Tyler started to roll over at 6 months
Tyler started to crawl at 8 months
Tyler started crawling up stairs at 8 months
Tyler started to pull himself up at a piece of furniture at 8 months
Tyler started to cruise the furniture while holding on at 8 1/2 months
Tyler started walking while not holding on at 11 months
As of today Tyler’s favorite things to do are play with his little train that plays music, chugs along the floor spinning balls that he can take out and put back in. He likes to play with any type of ball. He will roll them, throw them down, and even play catch to some extent with his Dad and I. He also love to put “things” into something else. He love music- especially his Baby Genius DVDs. He has gotten to the point where he will pick up the case and bring it to us to put it on for him. He loves to play peek-a-boo. He just laughs and thinks we are very funny (I will take it- since I don’t believe that about myself). He love his little blanket. This blanket is the one I picked out before I officially knew I was having a boy and the one his bedroom is based off of. This blanket is definitely his security blanket along with his “good-tastin” thumb. Tyler also likes his books, he will entertain himself by opening and closing those books for many “minutes”. Some of the books he likes having read to him are: “What’s Up Duck”, “Do your ears hang low”, “Mama and Me”, “Kiss Goodnight”. and “Count with me.”

Tyler is 10 months old ALREADY!
Tyler is a very active little guy these days. He can now crawl very fast around the house and up the stairs. We have 13 steps in our house and he can make it up all of them very quickly. Tyler is also climbing on top of things that are short to the ground. Tyler is eating primarily finger foods these days due to his 6 teeth, he might have 8 very soon. Another one of his new found talents is that he can pick things up, for example a book, crawl with it, and put it on a table. Tyler is also squatting a little bit instead of falling down on his bottom and he has stood by himself (no support) for a few seconds here and there. I guess that means walking is soon to come.
Here are a couple of pictures of Tyler playing with his friends and cousins.
Friends: Andrew and Brooklyn>
Friends: Katy and Jackie
Cousins: Alex, Keighley, and Connor (Also Dad, Uncle Joey, and Papa are in the picture)
“Cousin”: Tiptoe (and Mom and Aunt Amanda)
